Having Fun With My Own Seeds
So a while ago, I mentioned that I had received a box of seeds as a Christmas present. Well, that package of seeds has finally come in handy thanks to my AeroGarden!
After years of trying to grow bell peppers from seed, I have finally seen a sprout come up after only a few days of waiting rather than the normal 10 to 12 according to the package. So far the AeroGarden has lived up to its claim of "5 times faster growing than soil."
As for the tomatoes that I planted only a week ago, they are doing extremely well. Even this planter is so successful that both seeds I planted (on accident) sprouted wonderfully.
Growing Some Snacks
So a couple of days ago, I went ahead and planted out the seedlings that came with the device. In their places, I planted two types of Romain Lettuces: Red Romain and Paris Island. These will serve not only as sandwich additions and salad fillers but also as a better snack alternative for when I get the munchies after working all day in the office. Also, the convenience of having the AeroGardens in my home office means I don't have any "real" excuse not to eat a lot healthier.
