Well, it's been a few weeks since I last posted an update about my garden, but it's been a great few weeks nonetheless.
I know now that there is minimal transplant shock when transferring my AeroGarden started seedlings to soil - even when having to tear off some roots in the process. One of the advantages that growing hydroponically and indoors has is no worries about the weather. I've been able to grow virtuously effortlessly due to this wonder alone. Especially in South Louisiana where the weather can be as fickle as politicians.
You know very well by now that I love giving virtual tours of my garden. (I wouldn't even have started this blog otherwise!) So, let's take a look at how everything is growing. The first few of these were started in the AeroGarden and then transplanted to soil. The last few are still in the AeroGarden to see how far I can take them.
Nothing better than growing medicine in the backyard. If this was all my garden was good for I'd still count myself the luckiest person in the neighborhood.
Who can go wrong with some basil on the side? This Mammoth leaf is great since I can make some relaxing tea from its leaves. It is also used to grow some Good Will when sharing with friends.
Trying new things has always been difficult for me. I like what I like and that's all there is to it! However, once in a while I come across specimens such as this Thai Basil. It's aroma - while not suitable for my culinary needs - adds a great aromatic joy to my greenhouse.
I really don't eat cilantro or parsley, but my friends do. One of the added benefits of the AeroGarden is being able to grow Good Will among friends.

I love growing lettuce in the AeroGarden, especially when I can choose the variety. Health is only a step away.
Bell peppers are always hard to start from seed. Getting the temp just right for a great start is challenging. But it's nearly effortless with the timed controlled lights of the AeroGarden.
