So, I finally did it... I purchased one of those "Grow A Garden in Your Home" kits. Namely, the AeroGarden by MiracleGro.
For quite a while, I've been wanting to make seed sprouting more effortless (not that it is difficult during the spring), and instead of having to wait until it warms up in the spring, I figured I'd get a real jump on the season with this purchase.
Aesthetically Pleasing
Finding a place to park the product was a bit of a challange. Should I put it near the kitchen? No, I rarely enter the kitchen except to prepare food. And even then, it's not as often as I'd like. Besides, everyone else frequents the kitcen, and my doding over the AeroGarden would only cause more traffic jams.
What about in the living room near a window? Well, according to the instructions, that won't work because it might generate more heat in addition to what's radiating from the LEDs.
So I thought of the next most logical spot: in my office. But what about the noice that will probably eminate from the Garden? Well, after I started up the machine, I was surprised to hear....nothing! Or more precicely, hardly anything. Not even the splashing of the water nor the operation of the water pump. This made me smile - more than usual. Especially with it's metalic finish, clients and students alike will have something nice to muse over before and during our meetings.

What Am I Expecting?
Below you'll see what "Seed Pods" came included in this package. Although I am only interested in the Basils and the Mint, I planted all of them just to gage how successful everything is. DISCLAIMER: Unfortunately, I did drop the seed pod box when I opened the product, so I hope that this doesn't hinder my results.

I plan to update my progress weekly...so keep coming back for more!
