AeroGarden Week 2.5

Fist Fruits

Well, it's only been two and a half weeks and I've already harvested a nice handful of Genovese and Thai basil.  I'm more than ecstatic to say the least.  I will be immediately drying the harvest and making a powder for the future.  I actually use my dried basil for sore throat relief - as a tea.

Waste Not, Want Not

So I did not have any plans on using the cuttings I took of the Genovese basil and since there was so much, I didn't want to dry them all.  So I elected to do what I've done in the past and try to start rooting a cutting.  Hopefully, it's not too far from the light source and will be a success like in the past.

As for the Thai Basil...it paired well with my grilled catfish!
