I Haven't Forgotten My First Love

Sometimes when you discover something new about yourself such as a new skill or learn something new, you tend to get very excited about it and put all your effort into that new endeavor.  But sometimes - if you're lucky - you find out more than one new thing about yourself and you have a decision to make.  Should I put more effort into the new skill than the old; should I focus on my original skill and just count the new one as extra; or should I foster them both and grow them equally?

Aerogarden - Week 1

It's been a week already and a lot has happened.  But before I get to that, I wanted to emphasize how easy it's been "maintaining" the proper environment for my seedlings.

Taking It To the Next Level...

So, I finally did it...  I purchased one of those "Grow A Garden in Your Home" kits.  Namely, the AeroGarden by MiracleGro.
For quite a while, I've been wanting to make seed sprouting more effortless (not that it is difficult during the spring), and instead of having to wait until it warms up in the spring, I figured I'd get a real jump on the season with this purchase.

I Love Gardening!

Nothing as fulfilling as watching
your plants grow from seed.
Gardening is more than just planting a few seeds and hoping that you get a bountiful harvest.

Gardening is about loving what you do so much that you take the time to care for and grow nutritious fruits and vegetables for yourself and for your family. It's about enjoying life, enjoying what God has given us every day since the beginning of time. It's about watching something so small as a seed grow into something that can either shade you, feed you, or just help you enjoy life more fully.

Setting Up A Small Area for Cukes

Today I'm planting cucumbers in the ground.  I usually plant cucumbers in pots, but this year I haven't kept up with potting up the plants, so this happened...
